im at
im still hungry even though i had breakfast with the rest at terminal 1.
i'll prob go grab something now. byeee! (:
back!
i cant believe exams only ended last week and so many things happened in between! one major thing was packing and shifting all the things ive accumulated over the past year to kenway for summer storage. it was quite silly! i brought a camera along wanting to take pictures of the moving process, but i totally forgot about the camera and didnt take any pictures! lol. too busy moving perhaps? but i did take a few photos of all the boxes in my room though. packing is NOT FUN at all! i fell ill because of all the dust (and germs)! and i just finished using a whole box of tissues!
took some pictures with my roommate(: will upload the pictures when i find my cable!
it was quite a coincidence that linette, bryon, wingyee and their friend were all flying on 23rd june noon-ish. and i only found out at arounf 330am on 23rd june? hehe. but we all met up at heathrow terminal 3! how cool is that! again, we took a pic. (arghh. i need to find the cable soon!) anyway, thank god for their help as well as heathrow immigration being really slack? vic actually made it through with two handcarry bags instead of one! we flew on the A380 back to spore. i must say that the screen is much bigger, there was more legroom, wider seats etc. oh and you can plug in your thumbdrive and use word processor... but then, bcos there are more passengers on the flight, you have to wait longer to board, to collect your luggage, to get your meals served. hmmm. and i dont know if the A380 flys at the same altitude as the boeing planes, but my ears were really painful! it just wouldnt pop and i could feel the pressure difference. ouch! (but maybe it was due to the fact that i was ill. blocked nose and blocked ears - not a wonderful feeling!) i couldnt sleep the entire way back and i was so eager to get home i kept looking at the flight path screen, looking at the plane inching towards singapore on the world map. oh well. im back now!
was so happy to see my family after sooooo long! (: my ah kong and ah ma are super cute. love them(: we went for breakfast together. ate so much! and ate lots throughout the day as well. its insane!
anyway, i really gotta go to bed now, have to be awake in less than 3 hours time!
i'll be back soon!
HK beckons(:
blogging
i know i havent been blogging for the longest time, but then, in the midst of my exams, i suddenly decided that i wanted to blog again! It would be a waste to let my experiences in London just go by like that and i certainly would want to write it down and remember all those things that happened. Thus, i would consider this my mini summer project: to blog about all my travels, life in london, and of course to let my friends know what have been going on in my life. Hopefully i'll be able to keep this up! (:

im feeling much better now(:
the doctor gave me an mc for the next day. didnt go to work on wednesday. didnt really sleep well the whole of tuesday night either. my head was spinning, my stomach was aching, and i had diarrhoea in the middle of the night. i half-slept for most of wednesday at home, only waking up when i had to take medication or when i had diarrhoea.
for the first time in my life, i didnt eat for 33hours (noon on tuesday till 9 plus on wed night) except drink honey water and plain water! zomg. even i was surprised. maybe i didnt wanna eat because if i didnt eat, i wouldnt have diarrhoea. makes sense right? anyway, i wasnt feeling that bad on wed night. but there was still the "heavy" feeling in the head and nausea.
woke up this morning (thursday). still didnt feel quite well, but headed to work anyway. after all, its only my first week of work and i shouldnt be taking sick leave. today was a busybusy day. there was a lot of work to complete and we were one man down. another guy fell sick too. rawrr. one thing i dont like about the office environment is the proximity of the people and lack of fresh air. The whole project team is sick in varying degrees. quite terrible huh? hope all of us will get well soon before "D-day" comes. As i was saying, there were cartons of boxes to be done. although i was feeling feverish, there was no time to be sick! everyone was busy doing their work. thank goodness for the much needed lunchtime break. the other poor souls in the neighbour department were worse off. they were so busy they didnt even have time to go for lunch. i still think my colleagues are a jovial bunch. they make me laugh the whole day! veryveryveryvery funny! ((((:
busy day at work tmr again.

first day of work
spent most of the morning learning the system and all. so many things to remember! confusing! thank goodness the person in charge didnt test michelle and i. If not, gg! and as most people would say, working is very boring! monotonous. i really wonder how all the people with office jobs can withstand it. Day in, day out, doing roughly the same stuff. Staring at the computer screen for hours doing transactions... I sat till my butt ached! rawrrr.
colleagues. i was surprised to find quite a handful of people our age. Altogether, 4 girls waiting for A level results (including me), 2 guys who ord-ed and waiting to enter university, and a couple of people in their early twenties. the whole big group of us went out for lunch together. hmmm. and i witnessed the 'chope with tissue paper thing'. it was amusing! [childish! lol.]
i think my colleagues (those my age) are generally a friendly bunch. it was quite funny. they have this tradition where everyone knocks off and walks to the mrt station together. but this being our (michelle and i) first day, we had to go collect our temp staff passes after knocking off. guess what? the whole group tagged along. hehe.
okayokay. enough details. there's work tmr! gotta get up early. gooodnight!

met xiuwen and suyi today!
restaurants ought to train their new staff properly before letting them serve customers. totally horrendous! omg. they cant even take orders properly! they dont respond to us when we say that dish is suyi's and thats not all. they serve with shaky hands! so wobbly that its terribly funny. and i heard pianggg too. that means he broke a plate. rawrrr. please train new staff! it makes the company look very bad!
rainy days
we surprised mel and had lunch with her! (: after lunch, klar, py, and i walked around and proceeded to a secret place for a secret mission! (: it was rather interesting exploring a place we've never visited before. hmmmm.
it was raining so heavily and thankfully we made it back to the shopping centre(:
friday
both of us woke up early in the morning. (: with hopes of a goodgoodgood day. im sorry if i wasnt very enthusiastic and didnt really try to talk a lot bcos i wasnt feeling well. =/ but i sincerely thought that you were very nice to try to make everything happen. all the crazy funny silly things we did. one whole big empty bus with only the two of us and the driver! it was certainly an adventure. hopefully, we'll have many more adventures together. and as we talked, when we're all grown up, all of us will be able to gather together (with our children!) ((:
i didnt tell you, but i was actually quite happy and excited when .... thanks for keeping me company!(:
i wanna see all the guys shaving botak. too bad we cant see, their faces would be nice to watch. teehee(:
anyway, kaya toast dreams!

ballet and physics
[i didnt know ballet and physics had things in common] (:
"To perform the more demanding routines, a ballet dancer must appear to defy gravity while working within its constraints. Basic physics and the science of human perception provide insight into how this is accomplished.
For example, during the grand jeté, the dancer may appear to hover. Physically, his/her center of mass describes a parabola, as does a ball, when thrown (or, indeed, any object when in flight and acted upon by only the gravitational force alone). However, advantage is taken of the limitation in the human ability to calculate center of mass when a projectile changes its configuration in flight. When leaping, the dancer extends the arms and legs and lowers the head. The manoeuvre camouflages the fall and leads the audience to perceive the dancer is floating.
A Pas de Chat (step of the cat) creates a similar illusion. The dancer starts from a plié, then during the ascending phase of the leap, successively lifts and rotates each shin inward. For a moment, the dancer appears suspended in air.
The fall must be performed carefully. The laws of physics decree that momentum must be dissipated but a crash landing would destroy the impression of airiness and likely injure the dancer. Part of the solution is a floor designed to absorb shock. The dancer also bends at the knees and rolls the foot from toe to heel. For artistic as well as safety reasons this technique must be taught by a qualified instructor.
Depending on where the dancer places his or her arms and legs, the dancer can make them look longer or shorter depending on their preference. By placing them farther behind the body it creates the illusion of shorter arms or legs, and by moving them forward, longer."
